    Shifting EU crypto rules, including the Travel Rule, disrupted payments, receivables, and beneficiary flows—demanding scalable UX aligned with compliance.

    Designed Travel Rule modals for payments, payouts, wallets, and beneficiaries for individuals and businesses across Gibraltar and the EU.

Design Process

  • 1. Discovery

    Partnered with PM and Compliance to turn a vague Jira (Confluence) request into a clear, compliant user flow using conditional logic.

  • 2. Define

    Mapped 21 regulatory cases across Treasury Solutions and eCommerce platform products—covering both fiat and crypto flows.

  • 3. Ideation & Design

    Owned end-to-end UX. Designed 21 forms and 84 flows, including full eCommerce coverage while a teammate was on leave.

  • 4. Validation

    Worked with Compliance to resolve edge cases and refine flows—balancing regulatory complexity with usability.

  • 5. Impact

    Launched on schedule with zero compliance issues or support tickets. Recognised for adaptability and cross-functional delivery.

Ideation

  • Co-led an ideation workshop with the eCommerce Designer, annotating legacy screens to integrate Travel Rule elements - such as the Info Required status and redesigned modal - while minimising users disruption.

  • Designed PPDL (Primary Principal Data Location) and PPOU Primary Principal Operating Unit) flows for EU + Gibraltar merchants (individuals + businesses) using conditional logic, adapting quickly as scope and regulatory priorities evolved.
